PRADISHTA DINAM IS APPREOACHING SOON. MEMBERS COMMING FOR THE POOJAS NEED NOT TAKE THE CONVENTIONAL OLD NARROW ROAD TO THE TEMPLE. THERE IS A NEW APPROACH ROAD TO TEMPLE AS DESCRIBED BELOW.

AS NORMAL TAKE THE KOTTAYIL KOVILAKAM ROAD AND INSTEAD OF TURNING LEFT AFTER KOTTAATTAAL TEMPLE, MOVE 100 METERS FORWARD. TAKE THE FIRST LEFT TURN NEAR ELECTRIC POST MARKED CS/55. WE ARE PLACING A DIRECTION BOARD AT THE ROAD TURN FOR YOUR  CONVENIENCE. THIS IS A NEW ROAD AND AFTER THE SMALL CONVERT TAKE NEXT  LEFT TURN TO TEMPLE. A SKETCH IS PLACED FOR YOUR INFORMATION

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF TRUST Date:20/12/23
The Annual Meeting of the Kozhikote Kudumba Paradevatha Trust was held at 3 p.m on Monday the 4th December 2023 in the Temple premises. All trust Members except Mr. Radhakrishna Menon, were present.
Before commencement of the meeting, Trust members condoled the sad demise of three of our family members; 
Kozhikote Padmini amma, Kozhikote  Malathy Amma (Trichur) and Kozhikote Geetha Ramachandran, by observing 
2 minutes silent prayer.
 
Meeting commenced at 3.05 P.M.
1. Minutes of the previous Annual general meeting held on 30th October 2022 was readout and same approved unanimously.
2. The audited Annual account and financial statement of the Trust for FY 2022-23 was presented in the meeting. 
After discussion, same was passed unanimously by all members. 
3. Trust deliberated following issues in the meeting-:
a) The preparations for the Pradishta Dinam falling on 18th February 2024 was discussed. Maintenance works including  high pressure water cleaning of compound wall where needed, clearing areas around and in front of Nagathara, and paint touching up as necessary in the building are approved by the Committee. 
b) "Prasada oottu" - Mr. Girijan Menon pointed out that, this time, it is not possible to prepare food in 
temple premises, as was done last time, due to difficulties expressed by Contractor. So it was decided to arrange food from contractor's kitchen. Tables/Chairs and cloth separations along nadapanthal to nagathara are to be arranged as per old practice.
c) As per the decision of previous meeting, It was decided to open a second Bank account with ESAF Bank, N.Parur 
Mr. Harikrishnan and Mrs Preethi Karthikeyan are authorised to open account as appropriate.
d). Mr. Ramdas Menon requested the Managing Trustee and Mr. Girijan menon to prepare estimates for Prasada Oottu, Maintenance works, Pooja expenses including Dakshina, Panjavaadyam etc, so as to find Sponsors from among family members.
4. Duties of Trust members were then discussed and approved.
a). Mr. Harikrishnan and Mrs.Preethi Karthikeyan- Managing Trustees- Bank transactions, Routine Maintenance works of Temple, Annual Maintenance works of temple, Any special repair/ maintenance works as approved, Current Bill/Land tax etc payments to local authorities. 
b). Mr. Girijan Menon- Shall be responsible for preparing Trust accounts, co-ordinating with banks, Submit Annual accounts to Auditor, Decision on matters of Pooja, General superindence over Temple matters, assist Managing Trustees in their jobs.
c). Mr. Ramadas Menon- Preside over Trust meetings, maintain family web site, posting all pooja related and other 
family matters in Face Book or family whatsap group, Represent Trust for and on behalf of Trust. 
 
There being no further points to discuss, meeting adjourned at 1700 hrs. After the meeting light
refreshment was served.
 
All committee Members then visited the residence of Mr. Radhakrishnan Menon, trust member 
who is not keeping good health for some time now, and wished him speedy recovery. 
A photograph of all Trust Members was then taken.

THE PRADISHTA DINAM OF OUR TEMPLE WHICH IS CELEBRATED USUALLY IN THE MONTH OF ‘KUMBHAM’ (STAR-ROHINI) EVERY YEAR, FALLS ON SUNDAY THE 18th DAY OF FEBRUARY 2024. ON THIS AUSPICIOUS OCCASION, WE REQUEST ALL OUR FAMILY MEMBERS LIVING IN AND OUTSIDE KERALA TO ATTEND AND RECEIVE THE BLESSING OF GODESS ‘VANA DURGA’. 
 
TRUST FORMATION 34th ANNIVERSARY Date:15/07/23

Dear Kozhikote family Members,

As you may be aware, our Kozhikkottu Kudumba Bharadevatha Trust is completing 34 years of its formation today, the 15th day of July 2023. Trust was officially formed on 15th July 1989 by a deed of trust registered in North Paravoor Registrar office. It was formed out of an intense desire and resolve of the family Members to ensure uninterrupted Monthly Pooja of our Bharadevatha ‘VANADURGA’ on 1st day of each Malayalam calendar. Till then, monthly Pooja was managed by our most respected Gangadharan maman, often putting the necessary fund from his pocket and also collecting fund from other members of the family. After his demise on 31st December 1988, there was serious concern among many senior and younger members as to how the Pooja can be done in an organized and systematic way. First informal meeting was held in THARAVADU, in the presence of Unnikrishnan, Balakrishna Menon (Balan chettan) Rajan Menon, and Aravindaksha Menon and evolved a proposal to form a trust. Meanwhile, Mr. Achutha Menon (Achukuttammaman), who was employed in Bombay, returned after retirement for permanent settlement in Chendamangalam. He took unto himself the task of forming a family Trust with the able assistance of Balanchettan, who was a lawyer himself. Achukuttanmaman, contributed Rs.1000 towards the Trust formation and Trust deed was registered as no. 183/89 on 15th July 1989 in the office of Sub Registrar, N.Parur.

The eight founding trustees of the Kozhikkottu Kudumba Paradevatha Trust were-:

1. Mr. Ravindranatha Menon (Ravi chettan)

2. Mr. Balakrishna Menon (Justice Balan chettan)

3. Mrs. Saraswathy Amma ( Ammini chechi)

4. Mrs. Leela  Amma ( leela chechi, Tharavadu)

5. Mrs. Sarojini Amma (Maveli madom)

6. Mr. Girijan Menon

7. Mr. Shakthidharan Menon.

8. Mr. Rajan Menon (Rajan chettan)

On 15th July 2014, Trust celebrated its 25th anniversary in the presence of all family Members. The meeting paid respectful regards and tributes to all who took part in the trust formation and in particular honoured Mr. Achutha Menon (Achukuttammaman), the guiding spirit behind it.  

We respectfully acknowledge the sincerity, efforts and resolve of all the founding trustees and exhort the younger generation of family Members to keep up with the spirit of keeping up our traditions.

TRUST MEETING Date:15/02/23
A meeting of the Paradevatha Trust was held on Sunday the 12 th February 2023 in the Temple Premises.
Prior to commencement of the meeting, Trust condoled the sad demise of our esteemed Member Mr. Vijayan Menon, at Chennai
Trust, after detailed deliberations took following decisions-:
a) Car park Tiling works costed Rs.2,86,240 and the expense was approved.
b) The Savings Bank account in the South Indian Bank is mandatorily required to be converted to Current Account as per direction of the Bank; accordingly Managing Trustees were directed to take necessary action to move necessary paper work.
c) Considering the present crisis in Co-operative banks (where Trust hold its accounts presently) it was decided to open new accounts with RBI approved banks to transfer Trust funds. Managing Trustees were directed to take necessary action in this regard.
d) It was decided to undertake all necessary maintenance works in the temple and its premises well before the Pradishta Dinam falling on Monday the 27th February.
e) It was decided to prepare Prasaada Oottu in the temple premises itself instead of preparing ‘sadya’ outside location and bringing it on that day. Mr. Harikrishnan is entrusted with this task.
The Trust meeting concluded with an earnest request for your co-operation and active involvement in the smooth conduct of the Pooja and also by sponsoring / contributing to the expenses.
